Trying to avoid dealing with Walmart after work today. Does the June 30th expiration mean that it's not valid come the 30th, or is that the last day I can use it?

Just go online and print confirmation of purchase and don't worry about it. I used to put the confirmation in my smartphone before I got a lifetime license. I friggin hate wal mart too.

Go online and purchase it. Takes about 5 minutes. You print out a temporary confirmation and they mail you a new license in a week.
I think you are okay tomorrow, but I'm not positive.

If you get it today, it's for the upcoming year.

This means you can fish the 30th.

A new license begins July 1, so you should be good. Or you could be like some of us and suck it up and get the lifetime. Never have to worry about it again

Good time for me to post this question. I'm moving to Ga in a couple weeks. If I buy a LA life-time license, will it still be good once I move outta state?
I'll be in LA fishing numerous times/year, so this would make the most sense if it is allowed.

Thats a tricky one. I would think so but not sure when you have to show them your GA license. Interdasting question

You should see the sista's faces at Wal-Mart when I rip off that question...

From what i understand is yes it'll still be good. I believe they even sell out of state lifetime license.

ETA: I would keep an old expired LA license or get a LA ID to keep on you before you leave.

Lifetime licenses are available by mail or at the Baton Rouge office only. Applicants are required to have lived in Louisiana for the immediate twelve months prior to making application to qualify for resident rates.
Resident applicants must provide a copy of a valid Louisiana driver's license and one of the the following:
• Current voter's registration card
• Louisiana vehicle registration in your name
• Copy of 2 immediate previous years Louisiana Tax return marked "received" by Louisiana Department of Revenue and Taxation.
A certified original birth certificate from Department of Health must accompany all applications for those under the age of 18. Birth certificates will not be returned.
Lifetime hunting and lifetime combination hunting and fishing licenses include basic hunting, big game hunting, muzzleloader, bow hunting, state duck license, turkey license, and WMA Hunting Permit.
Lifetime fishing includes freshwater and saltwater.
PLEASE ALLOW 6 WEEKS PROCESSING TIME. WE DO NOT GIVE RECEIPTS TO HUNT OR FISH PRIOR TO LICENSE BEING ISSUED.
Lifetime gear licenses are available for 10 times annual fee.

I qualify for the Lifetime now, so I would imagine that I could get one. I need to do that. Thanks, boys

Looks like your safe. Believe I will buy all three of mine the combo this year for Christmas. Talk about a deal on youngens under 4. Combo for $200.

Yep. I'm buying my son one. I would've just bought myself one for $500, but I just bought my fishing license yesterday and while I was doing it I went ahead and bought my hunting license ($70+ for both).
Lifetime will pay off in 7 years.
