What??? Max HP is 300 for the boat! I have a 250 on it now.

Ive gotta 2011 F-250 and see no performance/RPM difference with 87 or premium gas......
If you have a 4.2l you wont see any added performance on premium because the engine is designed to run on 87.

Why sell a motor with only 1200 hours on it? That isn't that many hours. I have double that on my 2001 optimax. I would say run your current motor till it gives you problems then worry with a new motor.
However if I were to get a new one like in your shoes I would get the max HP for my boat, so it would be the 300 for me. I have seen several that are run on 87 with no issues, other thant it likely voids the warranty.
