In 5 years the kayak game is going to change tremendously. Hobie may still be the top brand, but I honestly think the prop drives are going to be comparable or better than the mirage drive. Only time will tell. All in all it will be good for the kayak industry in general.

Maybe, but the Mirage Drive is so much better in the shallow marsh and moving currents that I couldn't even consider another. That's where they would have to improve the most. If I lived up north all options would be on the table.
