Who is still making money? Elder Scrolls hasn't made any yet, and I would like to see Old Republic's numbers after years of development potentially going free to play in under 6 months. If ES uses the same mechanics, they too will be free to play in 6 months. This was STAR WARS and couldn't make the money they were hoping.

How much money do you think they left off the table at a hundred thousand subscribers not paying 15 bucks a month for 1 year?

Its not stupid when its true. The MMO space on the big budget stuff has been doing the same thing since 2004 because of Warcraft. Plenty of smaller MMOs have challenged that, but they don't get much attention, and the biggest thing an MMO needs is population to make it look alive, so they die off.

ESO has a property strong enough to try something different. It apparently won't, and will tank in numbers just like this is looking to be doing.
