I'm glad our fans did what they did this past weekend.

I know there are fans such as yourself who will never see it that way

russian, has PM or any player that you frequently dine with given you any insight into the fixes for next season?

I didn't mean their fans. I mean Kirkpatrick, Lacy, Richardson... would you have gone and congratulated them after?
Access to football players after a game in a venue like the Superdome is much different than access to baseball players in a venue like Alex Box.
Besides, being beat by a team that actually EARNED their way to this part of the season as opposed to a team that was ENTITLED to a NC game are two different beasts as well.

But we don't need to get back into this whole thing since it has been rehashed 9 times already since the epic fail of last weekend.
Epic Fail?
So, at the beginning of this season, when just about every baseball fan in BR knew LSU's 2011 team couldn't hit worth a shite, you thought they were gonna make it to Omaha?
Personally, I'm shocked they got as far as they did with that lineup of position players. As a fan, I'm thrilled with 2011. Just the fact that we hosted a SR was a miracle to me.

being thoroughly dismantled for most of the weekend was a pretty big fail IMO. We were outplayed in 3 games. We were lucky to even force a game 3.

Regardless of where you fall in the "should we be classy or not" debate, it is nice to hear an outsider's point of view.
I don't think the issue is should we be classy or not.
The issue is more along the lines of "how sincere is it? Or is it just people like Guillot and K lady attention whoring wanting to feel good about themselves?"

doc, would you give a standing O for a guy you walked in on banging your wife? if not, you have no class.
I'd high five him while he did a mini victory lap in the room right after he shot the yogurt ropes.

don't mind this thread. EZ, I don't really know but russian has a hard on for me. he goes to coaches committee meetings so he's super smart about baseball.

Not really. I realized after the first two innings of game one that they were much better than us in just about every facet of the game except pitching.
They were a better team. Much better team.
The fact that..

Is correct. They should have taken the first two, then had a victory lap.
They hit, field, and don't make little-league baserunning mistakes. We struggled with all three of these areas all of 2011.
shite, had we pulled off another win this weekend, I would be worried we would be no-hit by a UCLA pitcher in game one of the CWS.

can ya get me on the guest list for a CC meeting? I have some burning questions for Javi. Mainly based on grill temp but a little to do with the consistency of his cole slaw.

Russian is a joke. He thinks he is entitled.
It's easy to see the line on this one. Standing ovation= okay in baseball. Nothing out of the ordinary.
fricking victory lap and high fives on our own field? Just a bunch of attention whores who are probably broke or have a terrible home life wanting to be a part of something to feel good about themselves. Simple as that.

I'm not surprised at all that you and Elleshoe are on the same side in this discussion. Neither of you.......oh, nevermind.

All that aside, that was a very nicely written article. That guy has a future.

Maybe kids in S. LA are getting fricking soft these days, but when I was age 7-12, frick losing. I hated every team that beat my team. I would have applauded them when they dogpiled and then left.
High fiving them on a victory lap is the equivalent of me becoming a 49ers fan after they raped teh saints D last year. Just stupid. It's veiled bandwagoning IMO.

I like Glanville a lot as an analyst. As a PBP guy, he is a little Ben Steinish for me.

All season in the game threads you revealed what kind of person you are. You'd disappear when LSU was doing well and then reappear when LSU was doing poorly just so you could criticize players and coaches. Apparently you're not satisfied with that so you now criticize other fans as well.
Do the board a favor and disappear permanently. Thanks in advance.
