Well this sucks. Why have a hitting coach then. Close the position up and pay the pitching coach more.

Wish LSU would just force PM's hand. If he doesn't like it, pack his bags with his babysitter. He has to get tired of having to answer these questions every season. He went out and paid $$$ for a great pitching coach with a bio and it paid off...in just his first season.

And his comment is pure bullshite. He's not going to sit here and try to say a good hitting coach has no influence on hitting. I believe most of the hitting is either you can or you can't, like he said. But a good hitting coach can improve things like directing more of that raw power into your swing...

bullshite damage control for his BBQ buddy/babysitter.

True. School could save a lot of money if they cutback on fictitious coaches. Just saying.

You know, maybe PM was talking about over-coaching. You get a kid who was an exceptional hitter out of HS and you try to change him.
