What's a good one that can be made of easy to get ingredients that will be ready to use in 3-4 days. Thanks

We always used dogfood and livers left out in the sun...I guess you could throw some cheese in there and it wouldn't hurt anything

Chicken livers, cheese, garlic. Let it sit out in the sun a day.

Would this be for chumming the water while baiting trot lines or what?

I saw this one time when I was a kid...
I went fishing with a friend and his dad, and the dude's dad tied up to a stump, and dumped a feed scoop of some nasty shite over the side. He said is was chops/cracked corn and milk sat in the sun for a day or two. We tight lined worms and liver straight down off the side of the boat with about 6 rods.
We caught a few... maybe 6 or 7 blue and channel cats that morning, nothing magic.
I don't chum personally, cut shad are their own chum. Those greasy, slimey, nasty bastards.
