Definitely better the second go round, as you pick up on all of the inside jokes before they happen (see: the numerous references to hands/hooks before Buster loses his hand) The writing, for a sitcom, is off the charts. I just don't understand how this show got three seasons while other clearly subpar shows keep trudging along.

I just recently did this for the 3rd go around. Just a frickin outstanding show, definitely one of my top 3 favorites ever.

Every now and again I catch reruns on IFC. It blows my mind that a show that good didn't last.

One of my top 3 favorite episodes is where they were blatantly breaking the 4th wall in the context of the show getting cancels. The dialouge with Micheal and his father talking about how to keep "the company" was fricking hilarious

Ron howard at the end said something like "Please tell your friends about this show"

That's a great one. There's one scene that's something along the lines of

"What about the Homebuilders Organization?"
"Nah, HBO doesn't want us"
"Well what about the big show?"
"Showtime is out too!"

Just one of the many examples of why the AD writing was one of the all time greats

Also, never has a show gotten me rooting for a possible insestuous relationship to happen (George micheal/ Mabe) that was a confusing feeling for me

Every time I watch it (again), without fail, "I don't even remember that!" Show is so full of little things that are awesome.

Just started watching it for the first time, I am about 2 episodes past where Buster lost his hand.

I love the fact that it also has a story line you can follow, unlike most sitcoms.

Just finished the Motherboy episode, one of my favorites so far...

One joke it took me about 10 times to pick up on.

Michael walks up on Gob next to a hand truck carrying liquor talking to an employee saying "...king $6300 suit!! Come on!!"

5 minutes later in the episode shows Gob stealing the liquor from Lucille's. He's pushing it through the office on a hand truck and employee stops and asks of he wants help with that. Gob responds sarcastically, "No guy. I want to spill this all over my ff..." and the scene ends.

Laughed my arse off when I finally caught it.
