New bars downtown BR opening in June on 3rd street

City Bar at 333 third st. The establishment was voted as the best bar in acadiana in 2011.
Blend will be a wine bar on the corner of Third & Laurel.
Also from the same folks who opened the office (
), Restaurant IPO opens in June as well on 3rd st.

Not really sure of the details....some guy has been pimping it out pretty hard on fb. Looks like it is open, but the grand opening is this Friday. It's on the corner of Main and Lafayette, beneath Azteca's

Oh yah I've seen it before I park pretty close to there for the happys run.
Also a Hamton inn is being built across the street from azteca's. I love how downtown Br is actually working hard at improving the area.

downtown's finally shaping up .. now if we can just get a grocery store down there .. the residential would take off .. how cool would a rouse's be downtown ?

A grocery store and a decent gas station. I feel like I'm gonna get stabbed every time I have to go to that one on Government across from the Frost Top

yeah, that chevron is scary .. especially early in the AM when the two homeless guys that always sleep at the frost top door step wake up ... a few trusted friends close to rhorer tell me a grocery store and other amenities are in the works for the area ..

Yep. Rouse's would be clutch, but I would take a Calandro's
(I know there is one on government as well)

Someone should put a gas station a little farther from the ghetto, not on the border.
That would keep the riff raff out. Or maybe just have one of those gas stations where the cops hang out like the BQuik on Perkins. There are tons of cops downtown all the time for court and shite.
