...if it wasn't before. If you were somebody who was going to freak out if we lost to Kentucky or didn't even get to Kentucky. If Kentucky won the tourney and the NCAA went crazy and gave them the 8 seed, Florida or South Carolina would have more to worry about considering we're the champs and beat both on the road.

The Kentucky concern was way way way in the back of my head. Now it's gone.

I think we rout for UF here. I believe that USC would not get a top 8 if they lose but UF still could.

Agree. Florida's RPI is so high they are a lock for a national seed. USCe winning could just strengthen their case. I find it hard to believe they would get one over us if it came down to it with us winning the head to head series, not to mention the conference.

Florida is a lock for a national seed, and we are too after the win yesterday. The only team that has anything to worry about is South Carolina. If Kentucky wins the SECT, they could possibly overtake them (and that's assuming the SEC gets 3 national seeds, which they could very easily not); however, Kentucky still has a lot of ground to make up in the RPI. They're still only 17 on Boyds World and 14 on Warren Nolan, whereas South Carolina is 10 and 9 respectively.

it should have, but had we gone 2 and Q and South Carolina win the SECT, it wouldn't have surprised me at all to not get one. Of course I'm a cynic about the whole thing after getting shafted in the past.

I think 0-2 and a KY championship over SC/FLA put it in doubt. Now the SC/FLA loser has zero claim over LSU for a third national seed.

And I think SC's back to back titles enhance their chances of getting a national seed as much as Florida's SOS. They'll say it doesn't matter, but it does.

From my understanding LSU and Florida have national seeds locked up right now.

Both South Carolina and Kentucky are on the outside looking in right now. If South Carolina makes it to the championship they could be that 3rd team.

I just have that feeling no matter what Kentucky does the rest of the way they can't make up the ground they've lost over the last month along with their RPI of 17.

Well, Baylor, Florida State, UNC, and A&M all lost a tourney game too. This should help too, right?

I was just gonna say I think A&M losing might be more important than Florida losing. I feel like we are almost a lock but if we were on the bubble I'd be more concerned with A&M than FL who is a lock imo even if they lose again today. It's nice for seeding that Baylor, FSU and UNC lost but I think they are locks too.

Florida is a lock, win or lose. Their RPI is 2, there's no doubt whatsoever

You know they're not giving the same conference half the national seeds even though they might deserve it. Maybe not even three.

So...no

Not a national seed consideration, but I feel sorry for any regional that gets Vandy.

They're playing TOUGH right now.

Don't think you know how national seeds work. South Carolina has to win and still may not get one. Kentucky has to win the tournament and hope for the best. You're right we won't have 4, but LSU And UF are locks. Florida is going to be a higher seed than us unless we win. Their RPI is absurd still. Kentucky has a very slim chance of getting a national seed but if they do USC won't. There's no scenario 4 teams get one and will be very though for 3 to get one, but you're uninformed or ignorant if you think it's in doubt for Florida.
