Sounds like a witty guy....and a very classy family....

He's talking about how many schools were courting Hayden Rettig before he verbally committed to LSU:
"I've gotten calls from other people where he had established relationships, who thought they all had legitimate shots," Pearson said.
"At the end of the day you have so many opportunities to go to the prom; but then the most beautiful girl in the school walks in and offers you to take her, and that's what happened in this situation."

"He said he prayed about it," Pearson said. "He's real excited about it. There's no doubt in his mind he made the right decision. I don't think there's anyone that can come in and get him to change his mind. I don't see who can have a better offer than LSU." He comes from a Catholic family and attends a Catholic school, which also helped....

If you watch that tape, the offense at Cathedral is pure Air-Raid. They mix Mumme from his time at Kentucky & then Leach at OU & TTU.

They run a TON of crossing routes and short crosses as well. They also run a TON of all-verticals or 4-verticals.

The great thing with those QB's is that if you come up in that system you are SCHOOLED to throw the ball to the area where the space will be & the WR will be there.

None of that "wait till he's open, Jordan-Jefferson-Special" BS.

Very well coached & its obvious they spent a ton of practice time repping the routes & the throws. The guy's a good pickup for LSU.
