Hmm ok this isn't helping much. In researching online it seems that many people are in the same scenario.
It has to do with people who own the older Dinars under Sadaam. The new government is changing the currency and people are saying they are changing the exchange rate and people with older dinars will get 100x the value.
I told her if it seems too good to be true then it is. She said she met with Wells Fargo twice this week in person so I need to get more info. I want to get the bankers number so I can verify. I'm still not buying it.

I know a lot of people on this board are very skeptical of the Dinar trade, but it's a very legitimate investment, especially when held in a well balanced portfolio of stocks, bonds and other currencies. It serves as a great hedge against inflation and has likely made this woman very wealthy.

This is equivalent of exchanging Confederate Dollars back to US Dollars after the Civil War.
I hate it when people come into the bank asking about the Dinar.

I bought some old Dinars, but just to have as a collectible. I can't see the money ever being worth much as US currency is the king there right now.
