I am just reading up on things and I think if I go Intel it will be the i5 over the i7. Why did you go with the i5?

The i7 has hyperthreading.

Almost no games make use of hyperthreading.

The 2 are only about 2 to 5 fps apart in benchmarks. Doesn't really matter when I am running BF3 maxed out at 100 to 150 fps.

The i5 costs $100 less.

I think most TV's are around 8ms. Maybe lower. A good gaming monitor will be 1 or 2 ms.

I guess that is technically the response time, not refresh rate.
