10/1 is for the horse to win. The payouts are reduced if you bet him to show. It's paramutal wagering so it's a pool of money. It's not like sports betting where you get the odds at which you placed the bet. So with horses we're all splitting a pool.

Ok, we'll I'm completely confused then...I bet $5 on Dullihan across the board and he came in third...any idea how much I'll get when I cash in the ticket?
