That tidbit made me like Jeter.

I think amassing hits is overrated, as a rule. Singles hitters with no power get wildly overrated, but Jeter doesn't quite fit that mold. He's a doubles hitter. He's also a model of consistency. I think saying he's better than Yogi is crazy talk, but that's because I think Yogi is sort of awesome.

Jeter is an odd player -- simaltaneously overrated and underrated. Just depending on who you are talking to. He's not Ruth, but he's a slam dunk Hall of Famer.
