I didn't look at all the pics. Too long a doc. I like the idea of cottages. Loved the ones Tezcuco used to have before it burned and I've stayed in the ones at Oak Alley a number of times. You have to call early to get them, though. Love the cottages at Butler Greenwood, also.

The question is whether Houmas House gets enough weddings to make the hotel worth the while. I'd stay in a cottage or the hotel just to be able to go there to eat for the night and enjoy many beverages of my choice after which driving is not recommended.

Last time I was there, my wife and I were talking with the bartender and she said that they have the ability to currently hold 3 weddings at one time. It appears that the Ballroom will only increase that capacity.

I agree with this and could also be source of a significant number of rooms being occupied.
