What's so great about Traitor Joe's?

It's a difficult store to describe unless you've actually been in one. I'm a nerd when it comes to grocery stores, so I tend to stop in whenever I'm in a city that has one.

They usually have small beer selection, but it tends to be brands and styles I've not seen elsewhere. They usually have a decent wine selection and lots of selection at very low prices (Two Buck chuck for instance)

I've also bought a nice selection of affordable coffees that are under their own label. I think I spent $8 a lb for peaberry coffee

They have a good selection of dried fruits and snacks. My wife and I munched on candied hibiscus flowers while driving around Nevada. I've also scored 1 lb bags of almond meal for $4. (great for making fillings for sticky buns and almond filled king cakes)

It's not the type of place you do all your shopping. The stores are probably the footprint of a walgreens.
