This NHL post-season is set up to be fricking fantastic. Love all the televised games.
Go Sharks!!

What's great about this year is that you can easily see how every lower seed could win their series. Obviously, that won't happen, but every series should be competitive. Even the 1-8's look great. Canucks-Kings? Sign me up.
Oh, and this is the one time I'm gonna root for the Flyers. If they beat the Pens, I promise to root for them in every series they play, so long as it is not against the Caps.

Love the fact every game is national televised too.

Senators beat the Rangers 3 of 4 this year. I know it doesn't mean much in the post season, but damn.
Also, lets see if Detroit can continue to dominate at home in the post season (31 home wins is pretty amazing. St. Louis was pretty close with 30).
Lets Go Red Wings, 21 consecutive playoff appearances!

Someone did a study and found that the winner of the regular season series wins 75% of the playoff series rematches post-lockout. It matters more than we've been led to believe.

Baloo, just imagine if the Habs won game 7 in Boston last year. The whole front office would of been cleaned out.

Yeah, it's why I never buy into the "know how to win" crap. A year ago, Boston were a bunch of losers who hadn't made it out of the second round in nearly two decades with a moron coach and a GM about to get fired. These same people, this year, are playoff savants who know the secret to winning playoff games.
As champs, they deserve to have sunshine blown up their arse like that, but we shouldn't be conned into buying it. The narrative on the Bruins last year was (obviously) wrong, so there's no reason why the new narrative is suddenly correct for this year's team.

Maybe this will be the year, since no one expects much. Always can hope.

Let's go Red WIngs! and Flyers!

Pens vs Flyers is a series no one should miss, gonna be nasty right from the start! Talbot & Jagr back in Pitt where both won a cup or 2 for that shitty city. Goaltending will decide the series, Bryz's time to earn that contract! But backup Bobs owns a sweet record against the Pens.
Let's Go FLYERS!!!!

Shocking, MSM is predicting Pittsburgh to be a shoo-in favorite to win it all.

Looks like Darren Helm is back in the lineup for Detroit tonight.

I think the Rangers win but man, I'd be terrified of the Sens with Lundquist looking injured like this.
BTW - Ryan Callahan is a friggin' beast. Really like that guy.
ETA: OK, that gives me an idea. Hockey fans, say something nice about your first round opponent. I'll start, and you know it pains me to say something nice about the Bruins:
Zdeno Chara is the best defenseman in the Eastern Conference by several nautical miles.
