really? shocked? he has a two month at his home in Florida that can't leave the state because the adoption isn't finalized. And, you would be shocked if he misses one of the worst tournaments of the year shortly after winning the best tournament of the year?
Who cares if he's the current champ? Who cares that his buddies are going to be there? His wife and son will be in Florida.
He's not going to a crappy golf tourney instead of spending time with them. It isn't happening.

What is he not going to golf anymore till his kid turns 18? He will be in New Orleans, he is defending champion and he will play. May miss the cut and head home but he will be there is my guess.
