Oh I agree with this 100%, but baseball still gets great support even when they're mediocre (see last year). Our basketball team defined mediocrity this year, but still had lousy attendance.

It's the same for most of the SEC West schools besides Mississippi State.

I'd also like to see a coach who has the balls to schedule tough home and home series with powerhouse programs out of conference. One or two games a year against Marquette, or Utah, or Virginia isn't exactly the most exciting basketball game. Fans will come if they here that Duke or Syracuse are coming to town. LSU is actually a good early season road game for a power program to find its footing. TJ never really challenged us too much out of conference, outside of the Preseason NIT in 2009.
