Ok so songwriting is the only aspect of music? Because i can tell you bands like led Zeppelin and pink floyd were way more technical.
the beatles are loved because they are the first .... not because they are the best. they are nostalgic ... they aren't however amazing.

Ripped of blues music and gimmicked it up with sound effects? Yes, they did that very successfully. I liked their first three albums a a lot, by the way, in spite of the criticism htey received from real musicians.

Because Harrison didn't play scales real fast to impress the fanboys? Or McCartney didn't play funky bass like George Porter or showy like John Entwistle (actually, McCartney is rated as one of the best rock bassists if you do a little research)?
Tell you what. It's been almost 50 years since the Beatles first broke onto the scene. Their music is still covered and revered by serious musicians. I mean cats who know how to play and know good composition. That's no accident.
