It would make the 2012 season seem like another great year without a title to me. But, its hard to forget how terrible we were in that game. It has to go down as one of the hardest games for a true LSU fan to watch.

ONLY if were playing the University of Rhodan/Ghidorah (Godzilla's enemies) and they're wearing Crimson helmets with a single white stripe and white TV numerals on the side and we beat the hell out of them. There is no chance of that re-match in a NC game though, so we will only get a shot at them during the season. Better make the most out of the opportunity at night in Tiger Stadium.
Even with a NC this upcoming season, I'll never forget how Miles just stood there frozen like a deer in the headlights against the Gumps and made no effort to win the game against our most hated conference rival. No need to rehash that abomination again though.

Forgive what? Did the Tide fixate on Saban snatching defeat from the jaws of 24 point victory. Or running the table to lose fairly handily to UF then Utah. Maybe I'm too old and saw enough desert not to get spoiled but seriously? CLM f'ed up...fine. He's also got about an 80% win rate, no particular problem handling Saban in the big picture (ask Arky about this), and given the fan base a reasonable hope to win 2 or 3 more CCG's by 2020. Well, Gawd bless...I'm sure there's another Archer looking for work.

I remember the 2011 season a lot more than the game in January.
It's almost as if that wasn't even part of the season to me.

Same here. A friggin month waiting is a small part of it. The club winning 4th CCG since 2001 is a big part of it. A bowl loss....oh well, next year then.

2. All is already forgiven. Yes I wish we would've had a better showing on Jan.9th, but
It not like we lost to some scrub team. Bama fans are proclaiming the 2011-2012 team as the greatest Bama team of all time , until Nov. 5.
3. If you're holding a grudge from a season where LSU won the SEC, curb stomped two #3 teams, beat the #2 ( eventual national champ) in their house, defeated 3 BCS bowl winning teams, then you will have a rough time in life. Yes I know some of those are the same team.
4. Last year we were young. Real young. Most knowledgable fans though that 2012 would be our year. At the beginning of the 2000's our easy years were the odd years because we got auburn at home. It's switched to even now because Bama has become our biggest threat to the west title.

You people are such d-bags. 13-0 regular season and one of two teams (out of 120) to make it to a championship game and people around here are upset. Go frick yourselves....all of you and your whiny little small minds. grow a pair and enjoy the game for what it is...a game. You wouldnt even enjoy it if it happened just like your wildest dreams. I agree with pretty much everything you said.
I loved the 2011 team. My favorite team ever. In 20 years, they still will be my favorite team. There won't be a flag with that year flying in Tiger Stadium, but it doesn't take away from how great of a season our guys had.
