re: Flea medicine for new Lab puppy

no dogs around my house. i do spray the yard every month because i had an older black lab that we had to put to sleep a few weeks ago and he was allergic to every flea medicine we ever gave him. so the vet told me the best i can do is spray the yard and keep him bathed real good. he never had fleas but i just wanna star tthe new puppy off on the right foot so i was just wondering. my lab was 10 when he died so i never had to deal with flea issues cause of his allergic reaction to the meds so this is new to me too. thanks for alkl the help i truly appreciate it. i have been reading up for the heartworms and i think i am gonna go with the ivectimin when he get to 16 weeks of age. but just wasn't sure about the fleas
