So you felt the need to post this enlightening information on a Saints board.....

There are other ways to get attention.

I think that the fines are fair, the draft picks are fair, and Loomis' suspension, while maybe a little excessive is acceptable. Payton's 1 year is not acceptable.

When you consider that Donte' Stallworth received a 1 year suspension for killing a man while driving drunk, Payton's suspension is clearly over the top. 8 games,12 games, even a 16 game suspension would be reasonable, 1 full year is excessive.

I disagree simply because the patriots got caught cheating and received much, much less punishment. IMHO that is a much more serious action than a couple of guys offering rewards for hitting people, something they would do anyway.

Right, it is better to cheat than be competitive.

That's what I get from all this crap. Goodell has to know he is way out of line with the one year crap. It feels personal.

Murder while driving drunk does not equal lying and covering up. Explain to me why the punishment should be equal.

I wish you well in your career on ESPN. You deserve to report with the rest of the retards that miss the entire point of these penalties and the fact that the NFL is a violent game made up of thugs and great guys alike. But we love it in spite of or because of it

This is also the 2nd major incident of Payton lying to Mr. Benson. Lied straight to the man's face about the pills and then this. I'm concerned Payton may never return to the sidelines in NOLA.
