Cavs started the pick to take on Okafor rumor

Payroll is a constant concern for the New Orleans Hornets, who are owned by the league while a buyer is sought. The Cavs called the Hornets earlier this season offering to swallow Emeka Okafor's massive contract that pays him $28 million the next two seasons, but only if the Hornets would include one of their two first-round picks. They declined.

I don't mind giving up Oak and the Wolves' pick as long as we get a solid player in return. I refuse to have a lottery pick included in any deal not involving a solid player with this year's draft, especially since the Wolves look much worse now that Rubio is out.

It would probably have to be Jamison in return. Pass.

This was also in the link.
What the hell kind of "Aggressive offer" could the Cavs make to the Hornets for Gordon? I am guessing it did not have Kyrie Irving in it and doubt it was the least bit intriguing to us. The Hornets did say they are keeping Gordon which is both good and not suprising.

I'd be willing to take Kyrie Irving for Oakefor and a Minny's first.

How about Okafor and the Hornets' 2nd pick for Anderson Varejao?
