From what I know about the planetside series is its like a combo of the 2 but way more awesome, those games were top down arcade style games. Infantry was mostly person and squad based, while Tanarus was like a space shooter with upgrades and crap, nearly the same game as infantry in different settings.

Good lord, most I remember in a TS were friendly scrims in COD1 and 2; 30 people or so discussion strats, I can only imagine 100+ with a couple of commanders leading shite, mind is blown.
