Group coordination seems like a must which would be awesome if you get enough players together. Hopefully I get beta to try it out before I buy, because D3 is my main game coming up.

I seem to remember reading a long time ago that the first game kind of took Infantry and Tanarus, combined them, and put them on steroids.

Planetside2 is free to play. They will have a store where you can buy things like different looks for armor and weapons, but nothing that will make you more powerful. You never have to buy anything.

My outfit in the first game, at our peak would have on 100+ players in Teamspeak split in to squads and platoons all in a coordinated assault.
