I think the only person that fits that bill that would take the job would be Tim Floyd.

The dude can coach. He has name recognition and has been successful at every college job he has had. From what I understand, he was cleared of any wrongdoing at USC. He is from Mississippi and has strong ties to Louisiana.

LSU basketball can no longer afford to make another risky hire and hope it pans out. Floyd would put butts in the seats. Butts in the seats creates excitement and draws in top recruits. Floyd knows x's and o's and can get the most out of the top recruits. LSU becomes a top 25 program.

Yea, I don't think he is the answer, but definitely an upgrade.

I would be ok with that hire but I would prefer a younger coach to inject some energy into the program. Floyd is almost 60.

Not only young but also charismstic and interesting. You know, kinda like Dale Brown.

Floyd ain't been bigtime for over a decade. Why LSU fans are still hung up on him is perplexing.

Well, I do think Tim Floyd could come in a get us back into good shape. I'm hoping TJ puts a sweet 16 team on the floor next year, we'll see I guess. There are a lot of coaches out there that are on Floyd's level or better though.

Hell all his high school coaching connections from the UNO days have retired by now.

If we had 3 5* players in this recruiting class, you just might get your wish.

People here want Tim Floyd for basketball as much as they want Jon Gruden for football.

He's the only Louisnana name they know. What about Paul Silas?

For the person who said he lacks energy. I was wrong, this was from last year.

Floyd

For the people talking about probation and him running a shady program

Floyd cleared of any wrongdoing
