Love your observations. LM is all about TEAM.

Bryant believed that you can have a "tank" of a football team, but you have to have someone who can competently, effectively drive the "tank."
I really think LM didn't play Mett last year to have a better team this year. We finally have a 5* caliber QB and we're not throwing him in before he's ready.

It comes down to'gut-check' time (another Bryant-ism), but it also comes down to what happens mentally on the sideline between the head coach and his quarterback. The question, it seems to me, remains, can LSU be an elite program with what seems to me to be an continued primary emphasis upon physicality and numbers.
WE SHALL SEE.
As for Alabama football I think their success has always been about $$$$$. Bryant was the highest paid coach of his time and you bought your way back from sanctions with Saban. Can Alabama continue to buy success without getting pentalized or is this a cycle?
