If you cook - spices at Sam's are very cheap. You can get more than double the amount of thyme, basil, oregano, bay leaves, black peppercorns, etc. at Sam's than at the everyday groc. (including Wal-Mart on Highland), and for half the cost. Good spices...not the Dollar Store varieties.

Not sure about this. Preground spices go bad fairly fast, and you would have to cook a lot of Italian food to use up a Sam's size think of oregano in a year. I prefer to buy spices at Whole foods, where they sell it by the ounce. It's cheaper than you think and you're ensured that your spices are fresh.
