That was your first mistake.

Not sure what recruits Steele has accounted for, but they were mediocre on gameday, and not much from un-hyped guys.
Gives me confidence in CLM's choice for Coop's replacement.

Yes it does.
Saban consistently attracts the top recruits, according to those that rank them.
LSU will have to train up theirs better to compete and LSU will win it all again.
As long as the program stays in the mix, it will come, unlike decades of hopelessness some of us know.
It was still an excellent season even though they didn't show up for a game or two.

Sorry to shine a light in your dim room.

Then you are clearly not a heterosexual female or homosexual male.

The 90s were multiple decades?

Early 70s to mid '80s is one, and late 80s to 2000 is another when I felt LSU just wasn't on the level of teams consistently challenging for championships.
Top 20 here and there, but not really in the mix for winning it all.

beating OU multiple times in his stay there.

He only beat them twice, but he did it when Mack Brown couldn't, even though Les never beat Texas.

Most of the Okie Light butthurt stems from the fact that he apparently was interviewing for the LSU job when he should've been preparing for his team's bowl game against Ohio State. The Cowboys stunk it up and got killed in that game and Les left Stillwater shortly thereafter. It's their last memory of him.
