For you "Les can't develop players" town criers.
Most invites with less hyped recruits.
T-6: Georgia
2011-12 combine invitees: 16
Former ESPNU 150 recruits: 4
T-6: LSU
2011-12 combine invitees: 16
Former ESPNU 150 recruits: 4
10. Alabama
2011-12 combine invitees: 14
Former ESPNU 150 recruits: 5
11. South Carolina
2011-12 combine invitees: 12
Former ESPNU 150 recruits: 5
#1 was Nebraska, but I'd expect some backsliding since LSU aquired one of the main reasons for their #1 spot.

Les is great, but this just proves La. is not properly evaluated.

Good post. No matter his few bloopers, CLM is one hell of a coach... we are lucky to have him.

Les can't develope players - it's his assistants that are doing their jobs. If it weren't for his good assistant coaches we would have a problem. I've talked to people from Oklahoma State - they told me the best thing that ever happen to them was Les Miles leaving.

That didn't take long.
Even if this nonsense was true, tell me genius, who hired those assistant coaches?

When Ryan Perrilloux starts next year everyone will be wondering why he wasn't the quarterback this year. Perrilloux will make the pros, but Flynn won't - he doesn't have the arm and is still making a lot of mistakes for a fifth year senior....

I take it you never played football at the next level. The assistants are given the chore for player development. That is why you have an offensive line coach, wr &te coach, QB coach, def.backs coach defensive line coach, LB coach...not to mention the coordinators. The head coach is to manage all of this.
Please don't show your ignorance on this board again.

Some people have a really hard time giving Les Miles credit.
If you are going to credit an assistant coach for something...anything...you are also crediting the head coach who hired him on and works with him every day. It isn't as if Les brings in random assistant coaches and then never speaks with them again. They work for him.
Look at your boss, he gets credit for some of the work that you do. Because if it weren't for him you wouldn't be there to do that good work.

Well no shite!! This is brilliant frickin reasoning and glad you are around to figure this out for the rest of us. What kind of problem do you think Saban would have if you and I were his assistants?
