Bama was loaded and one of the top teams in the nation. They got on a roll AT home we just lost twice to App st. AT home and also App stwont make the CWS title game.

This is baseball and inferior teams beat better teams all the time but face it right now this LSU team hasn't shown anything that would lend anyone to believe they have a good shot at making the CWS. On a positive note it's feb not April

We've lost opening series before and gone to Omaha.....

1997 had different players, different coaches, different bats.

2012 has nothing to do with that year or team.

There is no excuse for this. Just like when we lost to ULM a few years ago, if you are going to be on a national level at any sport, you cannot lose to lesser competition. There has to be very serious questions asked after only scoring 6 runs in 3 games to App State!

I agree but your loss to ULM was much worse...

Well, in 1997 there was a tonnage of power-hitting star-power in Furniss, Larson,etc..there were even glue-guys like 'GasMan' Ray Wright..

LSU hasn't shown much hint of this since 2009..last two years pop like a bunch of Zeph Z Naccaratas.
