Brigtsen's is great, but I'd rather go to a place with a more lively atmosphere on a 1st date, IMO.

would rather a quieter setting to talk & get to know, esp if he is driving in to meet her.
but i can see the other way too. Easier to break ice on a blind date at a livelier place.

Vote for Dante's as well. Reasonable prices compared to many, good service, nice atmosphere and a good bar turning out specialty cocktails, decent wine list (cover all your bases, not knowing what she likes to drink).
