I'd rather him than Davis if I were an NBA team FWIW IMO NBA

He has long been my favorite player in D-1. He is like a 6'9" Andre Iguodala (in other words, it makes a lot more valuable, much like being a 6'7" Rashard Lewis makes you less valuable than Lewis).

before the season, there was a thread talking about POY. i slipped in TRob in the middle of my list to make it not so obvious. someone called me on it ("you just wanted to say robinson"), and i said yeah but watch, he's gonna be amazing.

anyways, we expected him to be awesome because we saw the past two years that he was awesome. no one knew he was this awesome.

also, he's cool as frick, has a good story, does shite the right way (allegedly, i guess), and has the body of a god. that's all you need

While I hate Kansas, I always have to cheer for Robinson. His personal life has been heartbreaking, and it's great to see he's overcome all those obstacles on the court and as a person.

What'd he end up with today? Davis has a POY worthy performance against Vandy with 28 pts, 11 rebounds, and 5 blocks. Went 10 of 11 from the field without an alley-oop attempt.

28 and 12 and 1 block that was the best block either of them have had all year.

if you ask me, he just won the damn thing

It was a great block, but you're kidding yourself if you think Davis's block on Henson at the end of the UNC vs. UK game wasn't just as good.

Robinson's had the better year. I think Davis gets SEC Player of the Year though.

Robinson is better than Davis.

I think it'll all hinge on the respective team's tournament runs. It's that close IMO.

Either one is worthy though. I'd love to see Davis get it, but Robinson is just as deserving.

They are both deserving. Robinson is better on offense and Davis is better on defense..simple as that.

Robinson locked up the POY, unless he flops in the Big XII Tourney. Dude is a man

i think most would agree that robinson's was "better." he nails an and 1 and then knocks a floater away to force OT in the last game of a storied rivalry. blocking a floater from a guy open and driving to the hoop is cooler than blocking a guy taking a weird, forced, shitty shot.

context matters. edge to robinson there.

What do you think of my "Iguodala in a big man's body" comparison? I came up with it today, and I think it's the closest I have come to pegging Robinson so far.

Fwiw, I think he makes a couple All-Star teams and become like a 16/10 guy for a good team. He is the perfect third option for a contender, down the road.

Er. Henson's shot wasn't a forced, shitty shot. And if he hits it UK goes down. UK vs. UNC is a big rivalry in it's own right.

That block is huge for UK's season going forward in terms of confidence for a young team and establishing themselves. You're right, context matters. And it says the block is just as good (or some may argue better) than Robinson's.

hmmm like it, don't love it. obviously iggy is a better handler and shooter but the freak athleticism is there and there are some similarities.

and BB, you're right, it really wasnt a bad shot, but it was a little forced considering the time. i remembered it a little wrong so i just watched it a few times. was definitely wrong about the shot selection.
