Prevot's offer is official...seems he had some initial confusion as to whether he was offered. He spoke to our DE coach today and still says he has plans to visit LSU and the Aggies.

I'm not sure how high Hall is on Texas as far as an early commit is concerned. Also, Tosh Lupoi is a witch doctor on the recruiting trail and he just may reel Hall back to Husky territory if he really wants him.

We can haz Naashon?

Seems that Naashon has noticed the Texas offer/commit from D. Davis at the LB position...he had a tweet saying "I guess I'm not good enough?" or something along those lines.

It will be interesting to watch this all unfold...stay tuned, folks

If Darius James starts looking hard elsewhere then Hughes will get his offer. If I'm Hughes, I do all I can to get James to hold out as long as possible and pressure Texas to offer. They seem close but maybe not that close but if so James could push Texas to offer Hughes and wouldn't have to say a word. I just think James will commit sooner than later regardless of Hughes.

Where did the parent thing come from with Prevot? Seems kind of odd for that to get out if he has an offer. Wouldn't suprise me if the kid was confused but it's kind of hard to believe a kid could confuse being told he'll have an offer when Mack meets his parents. Just seems odd. Nonetheless the offer will be coming.

Thanks for the update.

And just like that Hall has commited. Big time upside with that kid. More than Prevot imo. Hopefully this helps push Prevot away though I doubt it.

Perkins may commit tommorow. Great weekend for Texas.

Did the West Mesquite QB, Boykin, redshirt at TCU this year?

Yes, he redshirted last year. Currently, he is taking 2nd string snaps with Brown. It will be interesting to see who wins the backup role this year as Brown got some quality game experience last year and did pretty good.

Massington and Miles have also been offered by TCU but the most recent news is that they are going to slow down the process. My guess is that one or both want to go to UT but UT may only have one more WR spot open if any. UT is doing recruiting a little differently this year as they only offered one player this past Junior Day and will be offering more players later on. I would not be surprised if they end up going to different schools.

Both would prefer to go to Texas but most feel it's unlikely that will happen at this point. We'll see how slow they go through the process after they visit LSU in March. Of course if we offer as expected. If we don't then who knows.

Not anymore..he's accepted a grayshirt with Texas this morning. He's definitely all about being at Texas with his brother despite having
other big time offers. This is a great pick up for us.

Thanks to all of you guys for keeping the info about these guys coming. Looks like another banner year for Texas. I am hoping LSU gets some great Texas players this year. Seems like the state is even more loaded than normal with talent this year.

LSU will get some players from Texas. They are in good shape with Barrett for starters. LSU is also coming off another good season and is appealing to many recruits in Texas especially the Eastern part of the state which has less allegiance to UT. Plus, it does not hurt that A&M has joined the SEC West as that adds another game in their area every other year for many of these recruits.

Also many thanks for the Texas updates--ashamed to admit that even living in this state, I have not been following it as closely as I should have. But let me ask anyone this: since LA is supposed to have a pretty solid group of seniors this season & it has produced so many great DL in the past--Freak Johnson, Glen Dorsey, etc., are there enough in LA to fill LSU's needs for the Class of 2013? However, I would love to see the Tigers sign more TX players than in 2012.
