New Orleans Saints owner Tom Benson's bid is one that one source says the league favors. NBA commissioner David Stern knows that Benson will keep the team in Louisiana for the forseeable future. The league likes Benson's deep pockets, too. While Benson is supposedly a tad skeptical about basketball as a business, he is intrigued by reaping the revenues from the Superdome and New Orleans Arena while boosting business to Benson Tower next door.

With a staff in place, Benson's marketing team can cross-pollenate the Hornets with the Saints, much like the Saints did when Tom Benson owned the Arena Football League's New Orleans Voodoo

I'm not much on roundball, didn't see anything on it at MSB. I'd like it if he got the name changed. Jazz in Utah has to be one of the goofiest team names in sports. How bout Blues?

I might buy some of that team gear.

They just need a owner to revamp that franchise, Rita Benson qould be the one to make it happend.

Supposedly Benson, Chouest, and Mike Dunleavey are in the lead according to HT, but for all I know they just read this same link.

we also have a thread on HT about this...like every other day.

if you wanna drop on in and give your 2 cents, we'd be happy to hear it...we won't bite, and we need traffic
