The Jets had no quarterback in 06 and the Vikes had Tavaris Jackson coming off a bad season. Completely different
since when is matt freaking schaub some untouchable staple of the houston texans? the dude is average and injury prone. up grade the position if possible.

This. I don't understand the sudden lovefest for Schaub. This is the NFL, if someone better (especially a healthy Peyton Manning) is there you take him every time.

In the players eyes it will hurt much more than the fans. They believe in Schaub and they don't believe Schaub deserves to be thrown aside because his play wasn't good enough. If the Texans aren't seriously contemplating taking Manning they should publicly state they aren't going to go after him because comments like

You really think there were guys that thought Kellen Clemens as a rookie was good enough to win?

And I never said he was untouchable or that they couldnt improve that position. Just saying you cant have both, thats where issues arrive
