I can't understand why anyone would be happy about this (especially Celtic fans). You remove the only other legitimate team in Scottish football and you're gonna die a faster death than already scheduled.
Plus this isn't like beating them in matches, this is just watching a rival die because of financial reasons. Where's the fun in that?

I've never met a logical Celtic fan. I mean, they still use "Huns" as a derogatory remark towards Rangers, if I recall correctly.

Just to name a few others. It's not like Celtic is the only club in the world to do this.
"The Huns" is actually a pretty tame derogatory remark compared to the Jewish ones for Ajax and Tottenham.

I'm with you, I think. People undervalue the presence of an antagonist, imo. While I hate the bejeezus out of teams like United, Tottenham, Auburn, etc., I respect their existence as emotional gasoline that only makes the fire of sports passion burn brighter.
