If you had the balls to steal someone's kidneys, I'm sure it wouldn't be much of a stretch to let the poor dumbass try to find 20k instead of going to the cops. If he actually gets the money, great he'll be dead soon anyway, if not he dies before alerting anyone to the crime.

Boyd is a tough guy to figure out. His crew is restless because they don't have anything going on. Does he have a big surprise in the works? Or is he just putting up a facade until something comes along?
The scene where he sadly, appologetically shoots Devil then puts him out of his misery is some of the best acting I remember. Right up there with Mad Men.
