I just think that's excessive. Considering there are other people who watched him live and said he caught everything thrown in his direction. I haven't watched the kid but it would seem ridiculous that our staff would offer a guy with 16 catches and 20-25 drops

I know. Like I said, he was most likely exaggerating a lot just to get his point across. He's no professional but you would hope that a player that LSU is recruiting and offered thsi early would stand out significantly. I just don't have a good feeling about it if someone feels that badly about a kid. I trust our staff and their evaluations, but I don't think I'm the only one that has questions about this one.

Might be similar to the Lewis offer we handed out a few years ago. He was in a run heavy offense, LSU offered early but he was a academic casualty.

Yea I hear ya. You know, my high school team played will Arnold in high school, and he absolutely got worked by our DE who had no chance at playing college ball. Now I was his backup, and will destroyed me, so I guess I can't talk. Nevertheless, the point is maybe sometimes measurables can overcome bad tape. I don't know, it is puzzling though.

Avery Johnson was pretty much a non factor at WR his senior year because his offense sucked...Nobody has said we shouldn't have taken him
