Listened to it at lunch, great talk. Guy knows what he's doing, any fan freaking out should listen to it.

thanks for the link nothing ground breaking but gave me hope for our new wr coach. Frank was saying that you never lose that recruiting ability wherever you go. So hopefully the new guy can come in and start getting some OOS quality recruits.

I'm just wondering when the new guy ever had great recruiting ability. I know we aren't counting Mcneese as great recruiting experience. Doesn't mean he can't recruit but certainly doesn't mean he can. Everyone has to start a reputation somewhere and hopefully the new guy starts his at LSU.

I was a little concerned initially with the hire as well. I wanted a proven recruiter who could be like Frank Wilson except OOS.

Trust me. He's coached up some serious playmakers at McNeese. Has many connections in Texas. This is a good Hire. Comparatively, BJ Sams was about as big of a playmaker at the I-AA as Tyrann Mathieu at the I-A level.

His take on star rankings from the various sites was SPOT ON! Great job breaking down the decision making that the staff goes through regardless of what Rivals, etc says.

exactly, it's fun to look at rankings but there really isn't a ton of difference in top schools when it comes to the relative potential of their incoming classes...standard bell curve analysis will tell you that only a only 4-6 of any class perform at an elite level, and that a good percentage of top ranked players won't pan out.

That was great.

I still think that the point of, "well what about the guys that you wanted that didn't come?"

Still seems that we lost out on more guys than we usually do, but this class will definitely be really good.

I've been getting more and more excited when thinking about the LBers, Toshiro, the CBs, and the OL. Monster OL class.

Frank the fricken man. With all the negative peeps on here lately, it is nice to hear Miles in Houston on the impromptu interview and Wilson here becasue it makes me realize, these guys don't get phazed. They have a system and a plan and they will follow that plan. I love what WIlson said about national recruiting sites. Spot on.

Watched him play at mcneese years ago. Lance Moore type. Hard worker, good hands and routes, Just enough speed. Good we coach there later on. Good hire. He will give his all.

Great interview. Glad we have Frank Wilson in our shop....quality coach, great recruiter.

I wouldn't expect hom not to say it.... But still good to hear what sounds like genuine excitement about this class.

BUMP for people that are worried about what Rivals/Scout/ESPN/247 say about our class.

Pay close attention to what Frank says about these recruiting sites.
