re: How Come - The Difference Between Tiger Fans and Saints Fans

The Saints played hard and were in the game but got beat by a better team that day. They left it all on the field. The coach called a great game on both sides of the ball.
The Tigers played outstanding defense in holding the Tide to 5 field goals through 2 1/2 quarters of play. The Tigers offense was non-existent due to a combination of poor planning, poor game management, and poor execution. The fans are afraid these failings are due to the coach and that despite what he does well he will at some point in the future lay an egg again and we will lose an important game, again.
The meltdown isn't over the fact that we lost--it is over concern that the WAY in which we lost might mean our coach could make the same mistakes again in the next big game.
Capice?

So DadFanAlum, how did it work for the first 13 games?
And no, the Saints did not get beat by a better team that day. They lost to an team they SHOULD have beaten by 14 points or more.

you have no idea what you're talking about
we blew the game because our dumbass d-coordinator decided to blitz with under a minute left on the clock and leave vernon davis in man coverage with malcolm jenkins. The worst we could do at that point in the game is tie

we gave them the game, fought back and dominated, then blew it in the end. Saints were the best team in the NFL and it wasn't close IMO. It took a fluke game for a team to beat us.
The difference is that we know Sean Payton is an elite coach, we know that the Saints were prepared, and we know that we have Drew Brees coming back next year.
