Did a search and didn't turn anything up. Buddy of mine showed this to me the other day and felt like I needed to share. Can't remember a movie I was looking forward to more than this one. Here's the trailer:
Eta: literally just saw a trailer for it for the first time on tv during the game but the one linked is better IMO.

That movie looks really really bad arse. Especially while I'm in the middle of reading Chris Kyle's book:

I could not possibly be more excited for a movie than this. The song in the trailer gives me chills. I wish I could be half the man these guys are, I read one of the guys is 180 lbs and carried another SEAL in full PPE after being shot. I couldn't imagine being that skinny and pulling that off.

Two weeks ago I was fortunate enough to catch a sneak preview of Act of Valor. While the movie isn't Citizen Kane, I highly HIGHLY recommend this movie to every red-blooded American. Without a doubt, this movie contains the most realistic and intense depictions of close-quarters battle (CQB) ever filmed. The SEALs who participated in the project clearly had a great deal of influence with the filmmakers. While the storyline is a little implausible (probably because they had to make it somewhat politically correct), it is a still a tight action thriller.

For the gentleman whose son is a SWCC operator - those guys are awesome! I had no idea the boats and crews could deploy so quickly, and the amount of firepower that comes off of a SWCC boat is just nasty. Please extend my sincere gratitude to your son and his teammates for their service and their general badass-ness!

One thing is for sure - the men of Naval Special Warfare will really, really appreciate this film, as it pays great homage to their sacrifice. Without getting into spoiler territory, the climax of the film closely mirrors a key event in the history of the SEALs which all Americans will appreciate. For sure, go out and see this film! I suspect Act of Valor will be one of those films that turns a ridiculous profit visa-vi its production budget and the theaters will be packed, especially after word of mouth gets around.

I saw it today. Good movie. Not academy award stuff, but a good solid movie. I recommend it.

The acting was on par with the Facing the Giants, Fireproof, etc... type movies.

Action/combat scenes were great.

Cool idea to use real soldiers, but it almost made the movie "too real"... I left the movie theater depressed isntead of inspired.

Overall, I'd give it a "meh".
