Update
Shea Dixon @Sheadixon
Talked to JUCO WR Cordarrelle Patterson, who said he has settled on three schools, but won't announce them until the weekend.

Shea Dixon @Sheadixon
Spoke w JUCO WR Cordarrelle Patterson. Said Miles and Mettenberger were selling him on LSU hard. No commitment, but some big strides made.

Shea Dixon @Sheadixon
JUCO WR Cordarrelle Patterson (6-3, 205) said #LSU told him he could step in and play right away as the replacement for Rueben Randle.

Shea Dixon @Sheadixon
JUCO WR Cordarrelle Patterson tells me he will trim his list to three schools this week, then decide a few days before NSD.

This was a huge weekend for us. Seems like we are in good position for some recruits and we still have a decent shot at Mario Edwards.

of all the guys in this weekend, I'd say he's the most crucial. As far as immediate impact on next year's team goes.

JUCO guys are usually looking to make as quick of an impact as possible, of all the schools currently recruiting we offer the best situation. There's no debate there at all.

Would be a big get. I still think James Wright could fill the "big WR" role, but Patterson has a lot of experience.

Would be a key pickup for sure.

247 has him as the number one WR in the nation. At five stars. And with a rating of 99/100.

Am I correct in assuming he has the talent to be a 1st round draft pick based upon such credentials?

I agree. He would make our offense elite and help us win it all.

Yes he has that potential. Most people say he will be one and done.

He has good return skills as well.

This will be a good determinate into what Mett's leadership will be next year.

I hate to put so much on a recruit, but if he has control of the team, then know way Patterson can tell him no, considering the position, our losses, his ability, and our "supposed" new offensive philosophy.

I'd think that us and Georgia are the two best situations for him. With us, he has the opportunity to be on a national championship caliber team as the number 1 WR. He sees what Randle was able to do with that terrible situation and hopefully sees Metts potential.

But Georgia has a better QB to throw him the ball.

Hell get more exposure at LSU, but the QB situation has to be scary.
No idea why he'd want to go to Ole Miss if he's one and done.

UGA has everyone returning at WR. If he truly wants to be one and done LSU gives him the best opportunity to be on a big stage and show scouts he can be "the man"

Not having a WR coach could hurt us with this kid.

Jarvis Landry plays bigger than he is but he needs another year to step into the deep threat roll
