I strongly recommend that you avoid Johnny's muffalettas. They have mustard on then, some cheese, a small amount of olive spread, 2 slices of salami and the red is about 10 slices of ham. Tasted like a ham sandwich.

I didnt have high expectations but thougt it be way better than it was. I can't believe they advertise it.

Pizza's not bad...

That's why he didn't name it Johnny's Muffalettas. I have never been a fan of their muffs, but have been raised on their pizzas and breadsticks with extra cheese.

Agreed. The muffalettas are bad, the pizzas are great!

I think that mustard thing is a NELA deal, but you'll have to confirm with Otis, Ole Geauxt and Mr. Balls.

Don't think it is really. Cascio's on Old Sterlington does a great traditional muff that is very true to NOLA recipes. Vieux Carre on 18th Street does a pretty good muff. Neither have mustard. For the OP, I'll wager a bet could get them to cut the mustard and load up on olive mix if the requests were made.

I would assume you could ask them to hold the mustard if you did not like it just like some like anchovies on Sweep and some don't. By the way the Sweepmthe Swamp is out now and it is great.

As a huge Johny's fan, I HATE THEIR MUFFS.

It takes a lot for me to hate a muff

yeah holding the mustard is an option but it still wouldn't have been any good

Sweep the Swamp looks really good
