It takes some getting used to. I probably own around 15-20 mouth calls. Some I sound decent while others I can't blow for shite. I have found that the Woodhaven calls sound better for me.

Try David Halloran calls. He's a good friend and he makes the best, from slates to boxes to mouth calls. Soon, he will be the name you think when you hear turkey calls...

I use Woodhaven almost exclusively for mouth calls. I haven't found any that sound better myself.

I am a huge fan of Delta Queen mouth calls. It's a really raspy call that's really easy to blow. The only place that I can find them for sale is Mack's Prarie Wings.
