sorry, here ya go:

We'll see if he is the answer for LSU in 2012. If not, there's dual-threat redshirt freshman Jerrard Randall, who Beckham says has an even stronger arm than Mettenberger

So, immediately following Mett's comments about how he learned to stop throwing it as hard as he could and start passing the ball - comments are made about JR having a stronger arm?
All i'm saying is that anyone who's seen both of them throw knows that Mett's arm is golden and JRs arm is copper. It's not even a comparison. JR is comparable to Darron Thomas. If anything - it just indicates that Mett passes the ball and JR 'throws it'
My point is that if both of those qbs stood side by side and threw passes as far and as fast as they could - Mett's passes would go further, clock at faster speeds, and his release would still be faster, so I don't know where ODBs comment comes from.

You think a guy who takes passes from them every day knows less then you who probably has never even seen a practice? Yes Mett at this point has better touch. Thats why hes a RS Jr and going to start. However dont disregard a direct comment from a WR stating something that doesnt fit what you have built up in your head.

have you seen both? because ppl have been raving about Randall's arm for quite some time:

It would be easy to argue that Randall has the strongest arm of any of the quarterbacks we have seen in person, on tape or both for the 2011 class.
Randall at super 7 QB camp
both guys have cannons, might be splitting hairs over who's stronger, but I don't think it's gold/ copper.

Randall will make a good wide receiver and make a long option pass after a pitch from Mettenberger or Kiel after Mett goes pro. Miles learned his lesson I hope.

Who is the ulitimate QB on LSU's roster?
the QB with JJ's feet and JL's arm.

What are the chances Mett drives em down field and is replaced in the "red zone" by the QB w better feet Randall??

There isn't one. These are kids, projects! They will be well coached and Mett and another will be ready to contribute next year.
