Fishing Advice for Atchafalaya Basin (Butte La Rose)

Moved to Lafayette recently and I am going fishing for the second time in the Basin tomorrow. I'm putting in between the interstate in Butte La Rose. Any advice on where to catch bass or sac a lait?
I went a few months ago and ran south from the landing. Caught a few small bass and a bunch of stupid Choupic.
Any advice from locals on where the fish are biting around there? Which way to run and what to throw?
