IGN states there IS a security loophole on xbox hackers are using

I made a thread Monday stating I got hacked, and sure enough this might be how it happened.

Glad my thread helped some of you get on the phone and start removing your card info, but for anyone else thinking it can't happen to them, at least change your password to something strong for now
And in releasing this article, it also INFORMS potential hackers how to infact, hack. So its almost counter productive, there's the potential even more people will now exploit it

At least people still get to play video games. I mean sure, they're probably losing money at the cyclic rate and having their identity stolen but you have no idea how rough that month was for me.

Nothing in that article is about a hack. It's just brute force password guessing that gets idiots with simple passwords.

I'm guessing that most people put down the same email/password combo for the EA account that they did with the XBL account. I went back and updated both my EA/XBL accounts.
